About Waypoint: Who Are We?
Hey. I’m Codi Cook. I run Waypoint AI in Perth, Western Australia.
I decided to drop out of uni knowing I needed to jump on the AI trend while it was still new. I became obsessed with prompt engineering and ChatGPT’s capabilities, so I started using it to help my SEO content writing and found some solid progress. Then I found AI Automation, the perfect business model to monetise AI without being a seasoned dev. Although, I soon realised if I wanted to provide truly valuable solutions, I needed to learn solid foundations with coding, prompting, and automation building.
Over the past 2 and a half years I’ve tried and failed many times. Immaturity, inaction, procrastination. Building agents and automations in the background without giving them the green light. While you can witness the fails, I want to help you experience the wins. With working solutions set in stone, I hope to share real value that provides practical results, helps businesses adopt AI, and add clarity to an ever-growing, noisy industry.
Why I Chose AI
As I said before, I saw an opportunity and wanted to take it.
However, I’ve noticed there’s too much noise. OpenAI releases another GPT 5 variant within 3 months of the next, Claude Code takes the vibe coding game by storm, Google’s Nano Banana becomes hyper realistic. Then there’s new tech such as OpenClaw and new tools being worked on in the background. It always seems like there’s a crazy new revolutionary tool that will quickly shakes industries.
On top of that, there’s also a lot of future threats and concerns. Trying to keep up with AI tends to feel like being on a continuous hamster wheel as a dystopian future creeps up on us.
Trust me. Sometimes I feel behind and concerned too. Although, a lot of it is pure hype. People idolise AI as an infinite super geenie. I think of it as an incredibly advanced probability machine that’s a useful tool for accelerating processes, assisting workers, and providing ideas.
95% of enterprise generative AI pilots have failed. I’ve seen it happen in my own workplace too. What a lot of companies are missing is that they’re trying to divide their attention. They don’t understand the realistic expectations or have the time to properly hone its potential. There are many entry level solutions that can be implemented into your business. You just need someone to help implement them and teach a basic level understanding.
How I work
I’m an advocate for keeping things simple and direct. AI already has enough uncertainty surrounding it. I’m usually not one for jargon.
I do all the work myself. I might need to ask for few things from time to time. For the most part, I’ll be working on your solution and in discussion when needed.
Throughout the process, we talk from start to finish. Instead of handing you off midway, you’ll get one person the entire project.
The Process
- 1. Discovery: A good discussion on the type of solution you’re looking for. This is where we can align budgets, clarity, and feasibility.
- 2. Exploration: 14 day period of building, testing, and evaluating. Solution outputs will be compared to expected outcomes, deciding whether or not to continue.
- 3. Handoff: If you’re happy with the initial solution, we implement it into your systems. If not, no pressure.
What Happens After Handoff?
Like any website, software, or app, rollout needs to be controlled. Things break and need refining, theory can only take you so far.
After launching the project, I look to continually fix errors, help you understand how it integrates into your business, and find ways the solution can improve.
